I’ve been looking at the latest wedding trends in preparation for the next round of Wedding Fairs and the 2022 season. There are so many stunning ideas out there to make your day truly special.
I’m seeing lots of florals, think large, dense displays, flower walls, flower clouds and centre pieces. Lots of blush pinks, soft greens and hints of gold, rose gold and bronze.
Long table arrangements seem to be the new norm rather than individual rounds which allows for more elaborate table styling that really makes for that ‘wow’ moment!
Eco friendly and sustainable weddings are definitely on the rise with lots of zero waste companies starting to make their mark.
The beautiful rustic theme is definitely still a feature. However destination weddings seem to be being replaced with Insta worthy local venues that make for incredible photos!
The new go to additions are Prosecco and donut walls, candy floss and candy carts, popcorn stands and ice cream bikes.
Grazing tables are definitely a huge trend right now replacing more formal wedding breakfasts and making a special edition to the wedding morning whilst the bride and groom parties get ready.
Cakes are bigger, simpler and with floral decorations. Cheese (savoury not sweet) cakes are also making more of an appearance! Dessert tables also seem very popular with lots of options for guests to nibble on!
Wedding dresses are becoming more boho chic with embroidered dresses featuring heavily. Long statement veils and floral headpieces rather than bling is also increasing in popularity. Following the regional wedding fairs, intricate detail dresses in nude and pale pink hues are also featuring heavily with lots of beautiful detailing and sparkle.
For the grooms, their styling is becoming just as important, elaborate and competitive as the brides with lots of on trend suits (short legs, loafers, braces and bow ties) replacing the traditional morning suit attire.
Wild hen and stag parties and being taken over by more classic events and bridal showers. Ibiza weekenders, country get aways and beautiful afternoon teas. The introduction of the Sten has also received mixed reviews, but having arranged one I have to say it was fabulous!
For me making someone’s event perfect is the best job in the world. The little finishing touches can make such a difference and really make your day stand out.
